How to use the load generator

[back]

Note that this Tutorial is a stub and only provides basic information.

The load generator can be used to generate mix packet level and application level traffic according to basic traffic models (e.g. greedy source, constant rate or poisson) or through replaying traffic from trace files (e.g. PackMime-HTTP). See this tutorial on how to execute the load generator in a network (note that the load generator is also executed when using the local test environment evaluation.localTest.LocalTest.java).

To specify a traffic model, the number of clients to start etc, see the config file of the load generator ./inputOutput/loadGenerator/loadGeneratorConfig.txt.
